What a great idea! I’m not going to make any promises but I’ll see if I can do a post for Toronto (foreign outpost).
Mike
I will try and post something about Dubai
Hi there,
I think this is a great idea - I’m going to try and give this an antipodean flavour and do one on Auckland, New Zealand by the end of the month
I will do a post of frugal things to do in the Chicagoland area in the next few weeks.
Back in our salad days when time was very short and money even more so our family of three (my husband, our daughter and I) took what I called
Road Trips in a Day vacations.
They were always on a Saturday, they couldn’t be more than a 3 hour drive away from home, preferably where we were going was free or almost free, we could spend the day, we could take lunch (including iced tea and water) and we could return in the early evening.
We lived in central Ohio at the time and we went to a LOT of places.
We still talk about those wonderful mini vacations. We learned a lot, too.
We’re retired & living in Mexico now and we still take our Road Trip in a Day vacations.
Kathie
